When we pulled up I did not expect much. The exterior and lobby are grungy and right next to Grumpies. But we were tired and got a room on second floor 223? That had a fridge and microwave. Matresses looked brand new and bathroom quite acceptable. It looked a dangerous place to walk around at night with an armed robbery that occurred in June 2013. And bar and scary types hanging around. The morning was taken up by what appeared to be locals hanging around with nothing to do. We slept well and checked out quickly to eat at Bob Evans. I would not trust any old flakes and uncooled milk at hotel. There were several newer hotels in the same block but all we wanted was to sleep and we got a good rate.
I was impressed by the pricing however, as they say, you get what you pay for....When we arrived the hallways as well as the room had a horrible stench. That was not the worse part....Once entering our room there were roaches everywhere on the bathroom floor, on the carpet, the headboard and nightstand. We asked for another room but ended up leaving after and hour.
Toilet didn't flush , needs to be updated, stale smell in room. Will not stay there in the future .
Where to start...... Room dirty Towel looked like someone had wiped their rear end on it Bowl in fridge with what looked like remains of a banana from 1947 No locks on exterior doors of hotel Drunks wandering hallways from bar/nightclub in motel People from adjacent apt complex wandering parking lot Breakfast in lobby consisted of choice of frosted flakes or raisin bran and white bread to be toasted that had passed the expiration date on the bag
I was traveling from FLA to NYC with my two small dogs. Due to a delay in start of my travel, I needed to spend the night. I booked the room. When I arrived the lobby was dirty. The room and hallway smelled and when i awoke, my dogs were covered in fleas. I stop and got them groomed before continuing my trip.
I booked a room online and looked at the pictures online. Well we showed up and I went in and no one was at the front desk and the place was dirty. No bell to ring and I called out a few times and no one anwsered. Findly and person showed up and I asked to see my room. He gave me a key and I went to see it with my son. The place was dirty. I'm talking about the whole place. The hallway carpet was so dirty. The room was dirty and the frig was marked up and had an old TV. The bedding looked new...but the rest was very bad. We went back to the front desk and requested we not keep the room. He was fine and was good about it. I hope it doesn't charge my credit card.
Located right off the Highway. The hotel is in need of some renovations, but you get what you pay for. There was an unusual odor in the halls (maybe due to attached restaurant?), but the room itself smelled fresh. 2 out of the 5 lamps/lights in the room did not have light bulbs and the Bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Not a bad stay overall if you are looking for someplace cheap.
I booked this hotel through Hotwire's 'secret' deal - so at a pretty good deal (it was only for one night, so I wasn't too concerned). With there being not too many hotels in Aberdeen I guessed pretty much which one it would be. Having breakfast (but see below), free wifi and a microwave and fridge in the room were advantageous. However, upon arrival the hotel looked run down from the outside and that impression was repeated inside. The room was a decent size, but the walls showed obvious water damage and it was just old, worn and outdated. The sheets were clean, but not ironed. The cleanliness of the room in general also left room for improvement - if you are looking for something nice and really clean, this is likely not a good match. The rooms were quite and I got a good nights sleep. The breakfast, however.... there was a choice of corn flakes, frosted flakes or white bread (with the option to toast it) and grape jelly from a plastic bottle. Milk, OJ and the coffee... I don't know how long the coffee had been sitting on the warmer, so I stuck with the OJ. Not sure if I would stay there again.
Room very dirty. Lamps didn't work. Housekeeping never made up room on the second day. Key didn't work on the second day. No clock,no coffee maker and very limited and poor wifi service. Very disappointed overall
I was very disappointed with my room. It was hot, the surfaces on the furniture were sticky, the room smelled like chlorine, and there was not a no-slip mat in the bathtub, or a floor mat for the floor outside the tub. I moved the nightstand, hoping to find an electrical outlet to charge my phone, and could not believe the trash, dirt, and debris on the floor. I reported the problems to the morning staff member. He wrote it all down and said, "Sorry". The staff was very nice, but attention to cleanliness and details was poor. The continental breakfast was very limited. I ate at a restaurant back on the highway.
